HB5078 Passes Senate - Allows for an Elected County Board Member to Serve as Mayor





On Friday May 25, 2012 the Illinois Senate voted on and passed HB5078.  This bill allows for an elected county board member to serve as mayor of a city or an elected president of the board of trustees of a village or incorporated town.  The bill had several amendments.  On May 25, 2012 Senator Kirk Dillard added an amendment  to this bill regarding the Illinois Pension Code Section 7-139.  Below you will find how your senator voted.
